Mattie Art is teaming up with Cabron, the recently opened Mexican restaurant and cocktail bar in Folkestone, to host an art Pop Up Exhibition. Join the fun at the Opening Night event on Thursday 24th August 2023, or visit the exhibition which will run until mid-September.
Based in the heart of Folkestone’s Creative Quarter, the exhibition will explore and celebrate the joy of creativity. Both through Mattie Art’s artwork and also through you, the public. The Opening Night serves as an occasion for everyone to get creative as visitors will be encouraged to visit the “Creative Station”, where they can choose from a range of art materials and crafts and make their own artwork.
Mattie Art believes everyone should include creativity in their life, in the same fashion we are encouraged to do daily exercise. She believes expressing yourself, whether it be by dancing, gardening, writing, painting, or however you choose, can bring happiness and connection with one’s true self.
The artwork presented ranges from a figurative style to a more abstract one, showcasing the endless possibilities of self-expression. There will also be exclusive prints and merchandise available to purchase.
Cabron, serves as the perfect space to host the colourful and tropical exhibition. The menu offers an exotic list of cocktails to go alongside handmade tortillas and tacos. The atmosphere is always buzzing and vibrant, with fun music and jungly plants.
